Gov. Dennis Daugaard and the SD WINS Cabinet will be hosting regional Workforce Summits to discuss what state, community, business and education leaders can do next to advance South Dakota’s workforce initiatives.
The Summits are open to the public and will provide a forum to discuss:
- Current programs
- Learn about demographics and workforce trends
- Discuss strategies to move forward
The day’s event includes panel discussion and breakout groups.
Summits are scheduled as follows:
Mitchell: Tuesday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at Mitchell Technical Institute
Watertown: Wednesday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake Area Technical Institute
Brookings: Thursday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Days Inn Convention Center
Rapid City: Tuesday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn
Aberdeen: Wednesday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dakota Event Center
Sioux Falls: Tuesday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Convention Center
